Persistent

In my family, the ability to doggedly pursue a goal/vision, refusing to give up on it, even when it becomes difficult, risky or uncomfortable, is called Puotinen Persistence. Puotinen Persistence cannot be reduced to resilience or grit or sticking with something so as to master it, or to be Successful, or to achieve! These goals are too connected to capitalist self-help business models and logics for me.

Puotinen Persistence, because Puotinen’s are Finns after all, shares affinities with Sisu.
