Research

As an academic, my primary ares of research were: Feminist/Queer Ethics, Feminist/Queer/Anti-racist Pedagogies, Feminist Activism and Social Media, Queering Theory and Feminist Theory.

Since leaving the academy, I’ve continued to do research, but in an undisciplined way. I’ve been working to unlearn toxic academic values and experimenting with how to travel outside of and/or beside the academy with my academic ideas/theories/methods.

In this section, I’m archiving my research as an academic and some of my recent experiments with using my academic training in undisciplined ways.

The Virtues

Much of my research (in graduate school and as a professor at the University of Minnesota) was devoted to critically reflecting on virtue ethics and cultivating a set of feminist virtues.
